ROI of High Resolution Data

Just because you can create map data at very high resolutions, does that mean you should? In this era of increasing budget challenges and the need to illustrate ROI for mapping efforts, how good is good enough? With near ubiquitous availability of digital aerial orthophotography and increasing availability of high quality LiDAR data, it is possible to derive very high resolution impervious surface and related land cover data at the sub-meter level. The question is whether such high resolution data is worth the cost. This session examines these questions and gives answers that improve understanding of ROI when considering High Resolution remote sensing processes.
