GIS Supporting Community Resiliency - Half Day Workshop

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Note that the afternoon Community Resiliency Workshop is meant to complement the morning Black Pearl data collection project but it is not essential that you participate in both. As with other workshops today, participation is limited

For GIS-Pro attendees who really want to put their expertise to good use,  this workshop will use data sets that have been previously collected for the Tremé neighborhood of New Orleans and analyze the data (residential and commercial lots, blight and development, etc.) in order to come up with recommendations for community redevelopment.

Participants should bring their own laptops with an active version of 10.1 to work with the data. The recommendations developed will augment the work of the University of New Orleans/WhoData and the Historic Faubourg Tremé Association.

Earn 4 AICP Credits by attending this workshop
