Rosanna G. Rivero is an urban planner and interdisciplinary ecologist with specialization in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for landscape analysis and modeling, and for regional and urban/environmental planning applications. Dr. Rivero obtained her Ms. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida, in Gainesville, and previously worked with the GIS lab in the Soil and Water Science Department at that University. She has worked in a variety of environments, from the forests and savannahs in her native country, Venezuela, to the vast wetland regions of South Florida, including the Greater Everglades Ecosystem. Dr. Rivero is currently in Georgia, as an assistant professor at the University of Georgia, Athens GA.
